Trenitalia and Italo, Italy’s premier high-speed rail companies, transport passengers between Milano and Brescia at remarkable speeds. These Frecce trains make the journey with remarkable swiftness.

The end destination can be Venezia S.L., Trieste, or Udine.
Many trains include stops at Desenzano and Peschiera.

€10 tickets to visit the inside of the arena can be purchased, and its standard opening hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 9 am to 7 pm with the last admission being 6:30 pm. However, during event preparations, these openings times may be adjusted, so it is recommended to consult this page for any variations in standard hours. You can join a guided tour of the arena, which includes admission and lets you avoid having to stand in line.

It’s a tower in Verona that stands at 84 meters high and provides visitors with an incredible view of the city. The lookout gives visitors a breathtaking sight of all of Verona, from the river Adige to the valley floor. It’s well worth seeing!
4. View from TORRE DEI LAMBERTI
For an extraordinary sight of the city, make your way to Torre dei Lamberti. The elevator is the fastest method to get there, but if you’d like to savor more gelato, take the staircase.

Verona is an incredibly popular tourist destination, home to one of the most famous love stories in the world—Romeo and Juliette. As impressive as it is, this spot should be taken with a grain of salt—it’s really just a trap for tourists!
Tim and I had an enjoyable visit to the square, even with the plethora of tourists and souvenir stores. We particularly enjoyed watching people taking pictures with Juliette; it seemed to be a popular attraction!
7. PONTE PIETRA
If you’re looking for a fantastic way to spend some time in Verona, take a stroll across Ponte Pietra. This bridge is one of the oldest surviving bridges in the city and it offers spectacular views of the river Adige and its surroundings. It’s a great spot to admire nature as well as get an insight into the city’s history.

8. PIAZZALE CASTEL SAN PIETRO

This Roman gate was originally built in the 1st century, spanning the Roman road into Verona. Its grandeur lasted for centuries until French engineers, under Napoleonic rule, sadly destroyed it. Fortunately, it was reconstructed in 1932.

What amount of time would you require for a visit to Verona?
We were able to really take in all of the sites within just one day, though it meant that we had to move faster than we would have liked. Unfortunately, the Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore, Castelvecchio and a stroll across Ponte Scaligero had to be bypassed as our flight was already due later in the day. Despite this, four hours was all it took for us to view everything!
When we eventually return to Verona – of which we have so many fond memories – spending at least one night here is a must. A long-held tradition among Italians, the passeggiata, involves taking an evening stroll around the city, with many families dressing up for the occasion. To fully embrace the experience, why not join in with the locals or relax with a glass of wine at an outdoor café and admire the view? It’s certainly a wonderful way to experience Italy.
